Ashlyn Kelleppan is a Certified Nutritionist in the state of Washington and uses she/her pronouns. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Master of Science in Nutrition/Didactic Program in Dietetics at Bastyr University. After completing her clinical rotations at Bastyr, she learned the importance of counseling with a holistic approach through whole foods nutrition and enjoyed counseling a culturally diverse community of patients. She uses a patient-centered approach to help individuals manage their health and achieve their goals, while keeping in mind cultural staple foods. Her passion for being a nutritionist lies primarily in wanting to be a guide and supporter for her patients.
She became interested in nutrition through her own growing list of food allergies and sensitivities, digestive issues, and challenges with appetite due to stress and other mental health aspects. This started her journey in the nutrition field and expanded her areas of interest. In addition to her background, she is also interested in mindful and intuitive eating, disordered eating, hormonal imbalance, management of blood sugar/blood pressure/high cholesterol, and supporting anxiety and depression through dietary patterns.
She understands how making food choices and eating can be a stressful task; as it’s something we do on a daily basis and it directly impacts our health. For this reason, she believes there’s still great significance in making small changes because they help us be consistent in reaching our health goals. Ashlyn sees patients who are pediatric to adults.
In her free time, she enjoys dabbling in her list of varying hobbies. She loves to read, draw, play guitar, bake, and of course, watch TV shows and movies with a warm cup of tea.
